About Rowan Miller:
I was raised on an isolated sheep and beef farm on the west coast of Golden Bay, where I completed all my primary and secondary schooling by Correspondence.
Studies went well and I was Senior Scholar in physiology at Auckland University in 1998 and top academic student at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic in 2001 after five years' study.
I moved to the West Coast where I practiced in Greymouth, Reefton and Westport.
Murchison and Motueka clinics were opened in 2003, and Takaka in 2005.
Eventually the Westport and Murchison clinics were passed over to other chiropractors and I now divide my time between Takaka and Motueka clinics, family responsibilities, and pursuits such as beekeeping, and co-leading the Golden Bay ICONZ after-school boys group.
Drea and I are involved in leadership at the Kahurangi Christian Church, based in Collingwood. This is a caring group of rural people, involved in the community in a number of ways.
